TAX MAPS

The Town of Winslow is currently working with DirigoSpatial Systems Inc to convert
our existing hand-drawn tax maps to a digital version. Once the data has been converted,
we will be able to produce and print our own digital tax maps at any time and we will be able to
maintain most of the annual edits in-office.

Please check back frequently for updates as we will be posting the tax maps as soon as they are
completed and available for publication.

APPEALS

The Assessor’s office encourages all taxpayers to first review their own record and request an informal
review from the Assessor prior to filing their formal abatement application.

If a taxpayer feels that their assessment is overvalued compared to similar type properties
within Winslow, they have the right to appeal to the Assessor within 185 days from the commitment date.

The taxpayer, who wishes to appeal, must file an abatement application with the Assessor’s Office and
provide supporting documentation as evidence to their claim. Please review Bulletin 10 for more information.
