Bath sits on the Kennebec River. For a stay with downtown shops and restaurants nearby, compare addresses in Bath itself. An inn overlooking a coastal bay in East Boothbay offers a different base, even when a booking site includes it in “Bath area” results.
B&Bs in Bath
- Inn at Bath is at 969 Washington Street. Choose by the individual room description: fireplaces and other features vary, and a decorative fireplace is not the same as a working one.
- Benjamin F. Packard House is at 45 Pearl Street. Its four guest rooms have private baths and are on the second floor. Check access before booking if stairs are a concern. The house’s history traces it to a Georgian home built in 1790 and later changed to an Italianate style.
- Pryor House B&B is listed at 360 Front Street in the local Bath lodging directory. Compare its room descriptions and location with your plans for downtown.
Properties outside Bath
Five Gables Inn is at 107 Murray Hill Road in East Boothbay, overlooking Linekin Bay. The inn describes 16 rooms, 15 with bay views. It is not a downtown Bath B&B; check the journey to each place you want to visit.
White Anchor Inn is in Boothbay. The Town of Boothbay visitor directory lists it at 609 Wiscasset Road. The earlier version of this page incorrectly placed it in Bath and described it as a Kennebec riverfront property.
What to check with the inn
For a walkable stay, use the exact address and your planned destinations; “near Bath” can cover another town. Confirm the room’s floor, bathroom, bed arrangement, parking and breakfast arrangements. Ask about the specific feature you want, rather than assuming every room has the view or fireplace shown in a photograph.
Kismet Inn appeared in the older list. A current direct booking source for that property was not verified, so this page does not present it as a confirmed booking option.
